What a busy spring and summer it has been for our practice!
Dr. Lauren Miller & Cyrene have joined our Nurture Dental Health family and have greatly helped to serve our growing practice. We are so happy to have her join our team! Dr. Miller also has graciously offered to help cover Dr. Tran’s planned maternity leave in September and October.
Dr. Tran and Dr. Nguyen are expecting baby #4 in September! A little girl and we are so very excited for her upcoming arrival.
Our new navy t-shirts have arrived! Request yours at your next appointment while supplies last!
And now onto our blog topic for today!
Options for tooth replacement that are removable:
Flexible based partials are a great way to replace teeth. No metal, with a flexible base to help with ease and comfort for wear. Can be made in 2-3 visits.
Metal framework partials are one of the strongest forms of removable partial dentures. They are very ridged and resistant to fracture compared to the all resin alternatives.
All resin based partials are the most economical of tooth replacement options. Clasping is normally a wrought wire that is flexible. Clasping can also be in a gum or clear colored less visible clasp as an upgrade to the most basic version. They are easier to make modifications to if additional teeth need to be added in the future.
Home care:
As with any removable appliance, be sure to store safely away fiorom your pets who may like to chew on them!
-Never store in a hot car and brush them with a toothbrush or denture brush.
-Do not use any abrasive toothpastes.
-Some colorful mouthwashes can cause them to take up stains more easily. Try to stick with a dentukre safe cleaning/storage solution.
