April Updates

Soda bottle volcano using vinegar, baking soda and soap
April has almost come to an end, and even though we have been social distancing and staying home for the majority of it - time has definitely flown right by (especially when you are home with three little boys).

Between the homeschooling, Zoom video chats, cooking, cleaning, attempts at exercising as a family, crafts and projects, where has the time gone?  We can truly appreciate our family being in good health at this time and all of the togetherness has been more than we have done in what seems years - the true silver lining.  We hope you and your family and friends are in good health and enjoying what you can of this time together or apart.

We truly miss our "normal schedule" with our patients.  We are thinking of you all during this time.  Please know that we are here for you if you are in need, especially if you are in pain or have an urgent dental need during this time.  We are seeing emergencies and urgent dental care needs every week until restrictions are lifted by the Governor and the Department of Health.

We ask that all of our patients call in advance to schedule any appointment.
We ask that all of our patients call prior to entering our common waiting area at the front of the office.
Both of these requests helps for us to plan for your appointments, decrease waiting times, and improve measures for social distancing as you are within our office.

Bubble Volcano Experiment (for all ages)
In regards to the photo above, Dr. Tran and her boys made a bubble volcano this week.  Very easy to do if you have these common ingredients (check out our social media pages later this week to catch the video clip of our volcano in action):

Empty soda bottle (20oz):
-1 teaspoon of dish soap
-3.5 Tablespoons of Water
-1 cup of White Vinegar
-2 drops of food coloring

Empty cup ratio (make a slurry):
1/2 Baking Soda
1/2 Water

Mix the ingredients of the bottle until they are uniform in color.  Separately in the cup mix the baking soda/water slurry mixture just to make it uniform and smooth to pour into the bottle.  Stand back as you pour it into the bottle.  The dish soap adds a nice bubbly touch to keep the chemical reaction going.  Enjoy!!

We are currently waiting it out for updates from our Governor as to when we can resume elective procedures.  Please call in advance if you need us until then (or if you need to reschedule a non-urgent visit with us)!  Be well!  Take care!
